Clayton catches his first fish. Bob took his grandson fishing last Saturday and Clayton catch his first real fish. It was a catfish about 20 inches long and about 10 pounds maybe more. He was so proud of his catch but even more amazing was that he wanted to give his catfish away to a elderly couple at church for Bud and Iris have no children and have kind of adopted Clayton and his brothers as their grandchildren and knowing that Bud use to love to fish. Clayton and Bob cleaned the catfish and the next day his mom and I took him over to Bud's house so that Clayton could give him the fish. The smile that came across Bud's face was priceless, and the proud look on Clayton's face also priceless. I am just glad I go to be a part of it.

Today I have been reflecting on the past 10 years. Ten years ago, I was working as a paramedic on my usual shift but that day, April 14th, I was expecting a very special call. I was in the back of the ambulance with a young teenage girl who was in an minor car accident and she was hystrical and crying and worried about what her dad was going to say. I was trying to reassure her and calm her down. Then my cell phone rang, usually I did not answer my phone but I was waiting for this phone call, my partner handed me my phone and said, I think this is the call you have been waiting for. I politely told the young girl, that I would be right back but had to take this phone call. It was my brother. He was calling me to tell me that I was an Aunt of a beautiful baby Girl. He quickly gave me the important information and let me go. The young girl heard my end of the conversation, and I told her that I had just became an Aunt. She immediately calmed down. We talked about my new neice all the way to the hospital. Later that evening I had to transport a patient over to Springfield which is where she was born and sneak in to see my new baby girl. Now ten years later, she is growing up so fast. She is still the joy in my life. I wish her all the happiest in the world. Happy Birthday Alexis! I love you.

Logically speaking

I have been thinking about the delay for 24. As Viewers, we don't like to wait to see our favorite show air. It is already hard enough to wait from one season to the next season and now we are being asked to wait for another year for a new season of 24. Most viewers are very angry over this and yes it makes me sad to have to wait, but as I thought about this delay, to us they have only lost a couple of weeks since the premire of the show was suppose to air. In reality, they lost 4 months of production, that is 4 months that they will not get back and to continue to shoot the season for this year will delay the season 8 for next year. They only shot 8 complete episodes, and they have 16 more episodes to shoot which we all know that it takes at least 15 to 16 days to shoot 2 episodes that does not include editing and effects for those episodes. Plus summer haitus will be effected depending on other projects already committed to by the actors and staff of 24. So I am willing to wait for another year in hopes that season 7 will be the best season yet of 24 because now the writers, producers, actors, and staff will have ampable time to create the best show possible to come back and win emmys, and every award out there for the show. In the meantime I do hope they will create some minisodes to keep the fans happy. Good Luck 24!

Nothing beats a father-son reunion for pulling on the ol' heart strings.
Kiefer Sutherland hooked up for dinner with his dad, Donald, last night at the Brass Cap in Santa Monica. Reps for both father and son said that it was the first time the two had seen each other after Kiefer's release from jail on Monday.
